Date Posted: 2/8/2018
D.C. United’s Winter Camps Series (WCS) aims to develop the skill level of all soccer players while increasing their passion for the game of soccer. WCS has been strategically designed to maximize each individual athlete’s proficiency and tactical understanding of the game, while also creating a fun and competitive environment. Led by top D.C. United instructors, our WCS provides 10 weeks of training with an emphasis on technique, tactics, soccer fitness / soccer aerobics. Each session takes place on Saturday mornings for a total of 90 minutes for youth aged U7 – U12 (co-ed, all skill levels) and U13- U16 (boys, all skill levels). The implementation of D.C. United’s in-house league is part of a more defined pathway for identification and placement of players in United’s U-9 and U-10 teams as well as the club’s academy teams. “D.C. United Juniors provide young aspiring players with a structured environment to grow their passion for the sport, in addition to a well-rounded soccer education,” Nolan Sheldon, United’s Director of Youth Development, said.
